Most of you know that for a while now, Abbey and I have been praying for a baby. We have recently found out that having a biological child of our own will be a slim possibility. We have decided to pursue adoption full-force. We are so excited about this opportunity, and know that we can love and care for the baby that God has designed for us.
The news was tough to hear, but we are honestly VERY excited about this opportunity. We have both always thought adoption was an incredible gift and we are thrilled that we will be able to share in this wonderful event.
Please begin praying for the birthmother and the birthfather who will be making such an incredible sacrifice in order for a child to have life and for us to become parents. Pray that God will lead us to the right agency and that we will be patient in waiting for our newest family member to arrive.

I cannot help but find strength in one of Abbey's favorite verses, Isaiah 40:31. God is in control. You both have looked to Him for direction in all of your decisions and serve Him daily in all that you do. We will "wait on the Lord" and His will for your lives and "our baby" to be. We are praying for you and we love you both. We are so proud of you for the stand you take!!
Our prayers will be with you as you go through this process.
Also, as much as you are missed at FBCJ, we're glad you've found a new church home.
We know that God has a plan for our lives and it is not always what we had planned. You have both followed the Lord's calling so faithfully and I know that you will be able to turn this into a positive. I will being praying for you both and praise the Lord for your courage and what is yet to come!!
. . . . "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus". We know he has begun that good work in you, and we also know he will be faithful to complete it. Now all we have to do is watch the miracle he performs! We're so excited to be a part of this time in your life. We love you both and stand by you in your decisions.
