Oh What Busy Days!

We came home from our trips and found a big box outside. It was for Reed.

Uncle Trae sent Reed a real-life motorcycle! Just perfectly fit for him.

Reed thinks that it was a really cool motorcycle, but he has a little trouble driving it.

Vroom, vroom.

Reed enjoyed riding the motorbike, but it was time to go to the park after a little while.

Reed loves the playground in our subdivision.

He thinks he is so cool when he climbs up the ladder.

Reed couldn't figure out why the pond in our subdivision doesn't have any ducks.

Today, was another warm day in Tennessee. It was supposed to rain, but Mama and Reed chanced it and headed to the zoo.

It turned out to be a great decision! It was not crowded and Reed had a blast!

What do you think he is looking at?

A giraffe? No, an airplane!

The zoo has a padded play area and Reed loved playing in it!

He enjoyed being silly!

The weather was nice!

And Mama and Reed got to get out of the house for a little while.

It's a Beautiful Day!

The weather here in Tennessee goes from bitter Winter to warm Spring in the blink of an eye.

Reed is a huge fan of Spring-like weather. Reed and Mollie liked playing in the backyard.

He decided that he would let Mollie help him blow some bubbles.

The sun sure looks good on him, don't you think?

The detox of two crazy weeks is in full swing tonight.

After about 45 minutes of him in the bed sleeping, he decided that he was going to wake up and scream his head off!

So, we're trying to be really strong and not go in there.

But, we're wearing down!

Good night.

Smiles

Dear Daddy,
Being at Lola and Pop's is a lot of fun, but I miss you!
Love,
Reed
p.s. I think Mommy does, too.

Build A Bartlett Day

While Jeff enjoys his time in sunny San Diego, Reed and I are hanging out with Lola in Bartlett. (Please don't go rob our house. We do have an alarm. Ask Jane - she knows how to set it off.)

We've been having lots of fun. On Wednesday, Lola needed a haircut, so we went with her and spent some time in the kids' play area in the mall where she gets her hair cut. Once Lola was through getting her hair done, we took Reed clothes shopping, then on to Build*A*Bear. Most of you know, Reed has a very special BAB we sent him while he was in Taiwan. Lola decided she wanted him to get a new one for Valentine's Day. First, we showed him all his options. (Have you ever tried giving an almost 2 year old a choice?) After much deliberation, he chose a monkey. (I was pulling for the dog with floppy ears.)

The lady helping even let Reed push the pedal and fill the monkey with fluff. Reed thought the stuffing looked like bubbles! (Consequently, we realized at this time that the pedal isn't actually connected to the filling. I'd like to take this moment to tell you when we made Reed's bear, I pushed the pedal, and I thought it was really connected. My world is shattered.)

Reed even got to pick out the heart for his monkey and warmed it up!

Every new monkey needs a bath! So, Lola and Reed took off for the bathing station.

Reed gave his clean monkey a big hug when he finished bathing him.

Reed (Lola and I) named his monkey Bubbles. He made a great companion as we ate lunch and visited the Disney Store.

We're having a great time. Reed is a bit confused why Pop, Aba, and Bookha aren't here. It's difficult to explain it all to him. If the internet cooperates, I'll put one more post up tonight.

Where Oh Where Has My Little Boy Gone?

Can you believe how much our little guy has grown? I can't! It's all happened so quickly! I can't believe that in less than two weeks, he is going to be two years old!

I was telling Uncle Bill today that I can't imagine what we did without him. Before we had Reed, I never knew that there was a place in my heart that needed to be filled. Reed more than filled that place and has filled many people's hearts.

Abbey called me tonight and to let me hear how Reed was cackling! He was laughing so hard and being so silly. It was so fun to hear him, but it made me miss him and his mama even more!

San Diego is beautiful! The weather has been amazing. I've been to the beach twice, but the rain is supposed to come tomorrow.

EeeewwwwW!

Reed had a delicious supper.

Bill forgot his cell phone and he had to come and get it.

So, he offered to buy supper. We got Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Reed especially enjoyed the gravy!

Then, he dipped his corn into the gravy.

Then he dipped his chicken leg in the gravy.

Then he enjoyed eating some Pooh. It's really yogurt, but Reed calls it Pooh.

Reed had a blast eating his supper.

He was laughing and playing.

He wanted to give Bill a big hug.

Bill said "I have to wipe you off first."

Then it was time for bath!

Posts might be sporadic this week because I am going to San Diego tomorrow and Abbey and Reed are going to Lola and Pop's house.

Super Bowl Sunday!

Reed had a great weekend. We were home and he was living it up.

He had a nice yummy sucker.

He enjoyed the nice sunshine from the inside and then later we went outside.

He loves this puzzle book that Oma and Papa gave him for Christmas.

He's to that age where he can actually put the puzzle pieces in the right place.

Our subdivision has a neat little play area that we went to enjoy yesterday. The air was crisp but the sun was bright.

Reed loved climbing the stairs.

He had a fun time seeing the "dog" next door.

He really liked the disc swing although it scared me a little bit to have it.

We were just excited to be out of the house!

Tonight, we went over to Britton's to watch the Super Bowl. Britton's parents teach the seniors so they came over, along with Bill and Manya.

Reed could have cared less about the ballgame.

This was his reaction after the cardinals got their last minute touchdown, just before giving the ballgame away.

We were disappointed in the outcome, but had fun with friends.

Added by Abbey: Please note that Reed's outfit in the last few pictures was not by choice. We were at Britton's and he needed a new pair of pants after a fun diaper. Apparently Tamara was low on pants, so this is what we ended up borrowing until the party was over.
