Christmas at Lola and Pop's
After a very long trip from Jackson to Memphis, we finally arrived at Pop and Lola's house. The reason the trip was long was because we had several stops trying to figure out how to keep the monster truck which was on the roof of our van from rattling so loudly.
The presents were out and ready when we got here and Nash and Reed were ready, willing and able to open them.
First, they dumped their stockings out. They made quick work of them.
Lola knows that the boys love FLASHLIGHTS, so they both got new flashlights.
Will was just along for the ride as normal. He such a content little guy.
The boys were having lots of fun unwrapping presents. Just like at Enna and Poppy's house, Nash opened one present and was happy with what we he got. Reed was just throwing paper like crazy!
Nash was so funny. He was gathering up everything and holding it in his arms. It has to do with his early life, no doubt.
Will and Pop watched the silly boys open their presents.
Reed is so funny when he is opening presents.
I think that we could have wrapped 100 boxes and just left them empty and he would have had fun. He just liked to see the paper flying.
Will said maybe next year he would get excited about Christmas.
In one box, Reed had a tiger. It had underwear in the box, but Lola knew that it wouldn't appeal to him unless it had a tiger in it.
Probably the hit present for both boys, was the construction tools. The boys loved them.
Nash really loved the tools.
Of course, there were also monster trucks.
Obviously, Nash had memories of the road crews in Taiwan, because he knew exactly how to use the asphalt buster.
Safety first.
Reed enjoyed his presents immensely.
It was time for him to open the boys' big present.
Nash was of course, tired of opening presents and wanting to play with his slinky.
He enjoyed it immensely.
Then Reed got into the slinky action.
Nash was excited about their new Wii. He had no idea what it was though!
Abbey opened her stocking next.
Lola is pretty sure that at least one of our children is strong-willed.
Nash gave Pop a big hug to thank him for his presents.
After Abbey was finished opening her gifts, I opened my gifts. Christmas was a little different this year, as Aunt Ava and Uncle Brookie didn't come home, so we didn't follow any tradition.
This is a picture of Reed spinning around. He said, "I'm a Dreidel". We're still working on convincing Reed that he isn't Jewish.
Lola said that when she was ordering the strong-willed child that Amazon suggested that she buy this book.
And this book. I think that they will be great reading and help! James Dobson is awesome!
Will was just happy as usual.
Reed and Nash opened Will's presents so that they could play with them.
As usual, I think that you can tell that both sets of grandparents did an EXCELLENT job at spoiling our boys! But we don't really buy toys for the boys throughout the year, so once a year for a little toy spoilage is okay. That's what grandparents are for, right?
We are blessed.

Christmas at Enna and Poppy's
Today was celebration of Christmas with my parents, brothers, and their families. It was also a day of firsts, as neither of my brothers have met Nash or Will.
Aunt Aly thought that Will was super cute.
And Nash was adorable as well.
Joshi was a little shy at first when she was meeting her new cousins.
But she warmed up in time to ride in the trailer behind the tractor pulled by Uncle Bobby.
Will likes to cuddle with Poppy.
Aunt Shawna was happy to meet Will.
We have a picture of my cousins sitting on Papa's tractor with him. Now, we have Poppy on Papa's tractor with his grands.
The Land boys and 1 Girl, sweet Joshi.
Will liked Uncle Trae's facial hair.
Then it was time for present opening. Reed was, once again, beside himself.
He excitedly opened presents.
Nash was wowed by all of the gifts. We still don't think that he really understands what is going on.
Will was a trooper through the chaos.
We got Joshi a Vera Bradley Duffle and she LOVED it.
Reed and Nash only wanted 1 thing for Christmas "Monster trucks." Enna and Poppy got them their very own ride-on Monster Truck.
They were SO excited.
At first, I was really worried about Reed's driving. Not so good.
Then he really got the hang of it.
Joshi rode in the bed of the truck.
They were having a blast!
Reed talked on the phone and drove, but we wouldn't let him text or download apps.
Uncle Bobby and Aunt Aly got the boys matching MS State PJs, so we had to get a picture of them all together.
Enna put on her Alma Mater's wind jacket to match the kiddos.
Reed and Uncle Bobby did some eskimo kisses.
Then they played, "ride on Uncle Bobby's back".
They had lots of fun. It's too bad that we live so far away.
Finally they played pile up on Uncle Bobby.
We even got a family picture! I am so glad that I remembered to ask for one.
I wish that I looked a little more clean cut in the picture though. I could have at least tucked my shirt in.
We decided to do a silly picture.
Which we perfected.
Enna and Poppy with the grands.
Aunt Aly, Uncle Bobby, and Joshi.
My brothers beating me up as usual. I love them so much.
We are very blessed.
