We left this morning at 7:00 AM. Reed was pretty sleepy, because apparently he decided that he wanted to stay up late last night and talk to Uncle Bill.
So, he took an early nap this morning in the van.
We made stop 1 around noon at Cracker Barrel for lunch. After lunch, we got back in the car and didn't stop again until we go here. So, yes, it is possible to travel 8 hours with a two year old and only stop once! Thankfully, Abbey, Uncle Bill, and I have bladders of steel.
The weather here is very WARM. It is so nice and sunny. When we first arrived, the AC in our condo was not working properly. Of course, you know that since Abbey and I are "living like no one else now, so we can live like no one else later" (Dave Ramsey) the AC has yet to be turned on at our house. That means, we decided that we were going to run the AC in the condo VERY low ALL the time! Anyway, we called maintenance who called the AC repair people and we headed down to check out the beach. We were there long enough for Reed to be abundantly thrilled and long enough for him to sit down in the Gulf!
We then headed for supper, the grocery store, and then back home. When we arrived the Condo was wonderfully cool!
