Cutie PaTootie

I think that it is so funny how Reed's face pictures sometimes make him look a little chubby. In reality, he is not chubby at all. Is he light as a feather? No, I don't think so, but he's definitely not chunky.

The other night before our revival, we went to the park with Britton and his parents. Yes, you read it right, Reed is now saying Britton! It's so sad! He's growing up too quickly.

Reed was happy to see a doggy at the park. The dog looked like Lola's dog that Reed refers to as "dog".

Tonight, we went to get CVS with Lola. Lola is here keeping Reed because Abbey is in Writer's Conference this week.

Reed was excited because Lola brought Reed a balloon with Elmo, Ernie, and all of the Sesame Street gang on it.

We took Reed to get a haircut after the CVS run.

Then we went to eat.

Then we went to see Monya at her new apartment.

Now, we're home and I think that Reed is in the bathtub.

I'm blogging, and getting really sleepy.

We're possibly going to be having an ICE day tomorrow.

We'll have to see.

I brought work home in case I can't drive in.

Sweet Face!

The lack of post last night can be attributed to my second visit to the sleep clinic. I was hooked up to all 6500 wires and then to the CPAP. Then the band was wrapped around my chin to keep my big mouth shut while I slept!

The good news is that I felt better today than I have in years. The even better news for Abbey is there is no way possible to snore!

Reed is probably going to be scared of my new mask and Abbey is definitely not going to think that it is romantic!

Abbey has been having a busy few days getting our menu planned for the next couple of weeks. She has another Writers Conference coming up in a couple of weeks, so she has to be getting prepared.

She also had to hold down the fort last night while I was in the sleep clinic.

Reed just concentrated on being the cutest little boy this side of Nashville.

It is freezing cold here. So cold, in fact, that our schools are all out tomorrow due to the "extreme" cold!

Correction: It is BELOW freezing cold here!

Reed is busy trying to keep himself warm by running around constantly and cuddling up with us.

He is repeating every word you say to him and he is recognizing animals, colors, etc.
He is very smart.

He is really excited about his birthday and every time that he sees his birthday invitation, he walks around singing "birday, birday."

Some have asked if I am still CVSing. The answer is of course. After coupons and ECBs, I got all this for less $3.50 and earned $5.00 more ECBs than I spent, so I guess I was paid $1.50 for this!

Thanksgiving 2008

Reed was excited to get to see the "dawgcks" this morning.

After a delicious Thanksgiving spread, we took a little time for some family pics before nap time.

Reed has been full of smiles since we arrived at Pop and Lola's. We hope that it will carry on after we go home. It's great to have our sweet little guy back.

Of course, there have been a a few moments where Reed has had to turn on his charm.

Aunt Ava and Uncle Brookie had to get back to Jackson for UB to go to work tomorrow.

But, we took a few pics of them before they left.

I went to CVS early this morning.

EVERYTHING THAT YOU SEE WAS FREE or MORE THAN FREE!!!!

Technically, the griddle was not completely free, but I paid for it with ECBs and a giftcard that I got for having a Rx filled, so it was free, that makes everything FREE!!!!!

Dinner With Friends

Reed and Abbey came home today! We were so glad to all be reunited!!! They picked me up on their way through Nashvegas.

Tonight we had supper at Britty's Oma and Papa's house.

We had a great supper and Reed had a lot of fun playing with Britty.

I think that Reed grew up a few years in the few days that he was gone. He is saying so many more words!

He talks constantly! Of course, he is still asking for his "Cheetos" but he also loves "Apples". We have to get a video of him saying his vowels too. It is hilarious!

Auntie Meghan loves to see Reed and he loves to see her.

Talk about growing up. Look how old Britty looks! I can't believe he is growing up so quickly!

They had some really fun construction tools that Reed loved playing with. He was not really into sharing!

Reed was very excited to see his Mama.

Reed loves Britty's Uncle Jordan.

He was playing Pee-Pie with Uncle Jordan.

Is he not the cutest thing ever?

I haven't shown you in a while or bored you with the details, but here is my CVS haul for this week.

Above and Beyond

Tonight's post is dedicated to a few people who go above and beyond. While there are many, I am going to focus on the four that are most pressing on my mind right now.

We went to Chick-fil-a tonight for supper because we had to go to Target for me to get a few things for Writers Conference. Tonight was family night, and so we were able to see the balloon animal man. Reed was absolutely squealing trying to get him to come and create an animal for him. The balloon man, however, was treating another family to balloons and taking his time with each of them. All of a sudden, Violet, a CFA employee emerged with a helium balloon that she had blown up just for Reed! She said that she hadn't heard him trying to get a balloon from the balloon man, she just thought he would want one so she blew up one for him!

Next, there was the man at the carwash. I have a favorite carwash. It is on the way home and it is one of those where you drive into the wash and the machine pulls your car through. It was late, probably close to closing time, and the man stopped the machine once we were on the track. He sprayed our van with soap and then took the power washer out and sprayed off the front of the van from the bugs we got from Gulf Shores! He took probably 5-10 minutes working on making sure we got an awesome wash.
He definitely didn't have to do that.

Jessica is my graphic designer at work. I LOVE MY TEAM, so naturally, I could write kudos about each and every one of them, but Jessica has an incredible work ethic. She almost always gets every product to me well before our publishing deadlines. This week, she has even designed decorations for our Writers Conference and didn't have too.

Another team member, Andrea, is the production editor for our products. She is consistently doing more than she has too! She helps me make copies, she will sharpen pencils, she works hard to meet deadlines. She is an amazing worker!

I know that I told you that I was going to name 4 people, but I am really going to name 5.

Abbey is the 5th. She is the best mom in the world and she loves to help me in anyway possible. She is a servant-hearted person who love to give back in anyway that she can. In fact, yesterday, she sang a solo in church which was way out of her comfort-zone, but she did an incredible job and her testimony meant so much to many people.

I am so blessed to have her as my wife. She is truly one of the best gifts that God has ever chosen to give me.

I think that Reed agrees.

I've laid low on the CVSing posts lately, but I have still been going. I am having a pretty good week of CVSing. Maybe next week I will post my actual purchases.
