Midweek Update

Reed had a very busy day today.

First, he woke up and had breakfast.

Then, he and Mama looked for the camera.

They couldn't find it.

They went with Britton and his Mama to the zoo and met Stacy, Hudson, and Cooper.

They played, saw Monkeys (hee hee), Meer cats, and snakes (ssss .... Ewww!) and had a picnic.

He came home and took a nap.

I came home, Reed was still asleep and Abbey was cooking supper.

I looked for the camera and finally found it. Anybody want to guess where? Leave a comment.

We ate supper in peace ... I mean, we ate supper while Reed finished his nap.

When Reed woke up, he ate supper and then we went to church.

Post Election Post

Okay, so I've avoided this as long as possible, other than the "subtle" button that has appeared on the right side of the screen (it's gone now, if don't know what I am talking about).

There was no post last night because I fell asleep with Reed and didn't wake up until 9:45. Our digital box was acting up and we couldn't get Fox News, so we were stuck to watch NBC. It was making me sick at my stomach as most of the media did during this election.

We were disappointed with the results last night. I do wish that McCain/Palin would have won. I was not bowled over by either candidate for President, but I felt like we had something to base his claims on.

I was really interested in Palin as well. I know many people were upset with McCain's choice, but I loved the idea of having someone normal in politics. She wasn't Harvard, Columbia, or Yale educated. She was just normal who had a husband that worked. I felt we could identify with her.

All that to say, the Office of the President should be respected and I am going to have to learn to respect President Obama.

I hope that so many Americans who have placed their complete hope in him will not be dis

Okay, enough serious junk.

As you probably can tell, Britty came over last night. Reed has gotten into hugging lately. Finally, our non-affectionate son has become affectionate! I knew he couldn't resist having two affectionate parents!

Later the boys decided to take their shirts off and become little redneck boys!

They were totally unconcerned with the elections ...

... until Britton heard that Obama had won and he was not impressed!

Dinner With Friends

Reed and Abbey came home today! We were so glad to all be reunited!!! They picked me up on their way through Nashvegas.

Tonight we had supper at Britty's Oma and Papa's house.

We had a great supper and Reed had a lot of fun playing with Britty.

I think that Reed grew up a few years in the few days that he was gone. He is saying so many more words!

He talks constantly! Of course, he is still asking for his "Cheetos" but he also loves "Apples". We have to get a video of him saying his vowels too. It is hilarious!

Auntie Meghan loves to see Reed and he loves to see her.

Talk about growing up. Look how old Britty looks! I can't believe he is growing up so quickly!

They had some really fun construction tools that Reed loved playing with. He was not really into sharing!

Reed was very excited to see his Mama.

Reed loves Britty's Uncle Jordan.

He was playing Pee-Pie with Uncle Jordan.

Is he not the cutest thing ever?

I haven't shown you in a while or bored you with the details, but here is my CVS haul for this week.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Pumpkin Patch this morning.

They had lots of fun things to do, like a really fast spider slide.

Reed thought the pigs were incredible.

But the chickens were a little bit perplexing.

He really liked the miniature billy goats.

Reed enjoyed milking the cow with the simulator.

He liked petting the donkey.

It was SO hot! Can you believe it is October?

Britton came and Reed was thrilled to see him.

And finally we saw the pumpkins.

Reed was not in the picture making mood.

We did get a few cute pics of him in the pumpkin.

"Look at all these pumpkins!"

On top of a hay bale, all covered with Reed.

We took a walk across the hay bales.

IT IS SO HOT!

The heat made us all sleepy!

We went to see "Fireproof" tonight! It was great! The acting was not the best in the beginning, but the story was great. You should definitely go see it!
