Back in the swing of things
The month of October was a whirlwind of a month. I think that we did very little laundry and even less cooking. Well, I never cook, but Abbey didn't do much cooking either. In fact, I think that we spent as much time sleeping away from home as we did sleeping at home. Couple that with my food poisoning and had extensive tests run on both of us.
To say the least, we've been busy and we're ready to get back into the swing of things. This weekend, we have plans to take the Christmas stuff at out of the attic and start putting up a couple of the trees. Yes, if we put up just two, we will only be half-way done. Why? Because we have 4 trees this year and we have to get started because we have a VERY IMPORTANT wedding next weekend, we'll be home a week, and then it's thanksgiving.
The picture above is one of my favorite ones from our scenic trip a couple of weeks ago. It shows the crystal clear water with the smooth rocks in the bottom of the river. This month has been a whirlwind. A whirlwind that ended with news that we really never wanted to hear. It was news, however, that we could handle. Sometimes Plan A isn't the right plan. All too often Plan A is human, it's not until we let God's Plan take over that we can really experience life.
In life, we might experience a few rocks in our way. Maybe instead of whining, crying, and complaining about the stones that hinder us, we should look at the beauty of creation that they represent.
