Our Weekend in Memphis

We headed to Memphis on Thursday night to see Pop and Lola. I had to teach at a conference in Little Rock, so since I was traveling that way. Abbey and Reed tagged along until Memphis.



My coworkers picked me up in Memphis and the fam stuck around with Pop and Lola. On Friday, Aunt Ava came up after she was done teaching.



On Saturday, Abbey and Ava took Lola shopping. Well, I guess I should clarify. Lola's birthday was earlier this month and Abbey and Ava decided that they would give the gift of "time with mom" to Lola. Lola bought some new clothes for herself with the help and critiquing of Abbey and Ava.



Of course, there were lots of bubbles and time to play with Reedster.



Reed played with Mollie and Belle.



Pop and Reed spent the day together while the girls were out shopping.



Lola and Pop have a new addition to the family. Reed has named this new little furball, "Bajoon" . We call him Mr. Bajoon. Reed loves him!



We're not so sure if Mr. Bajoon loves Reed back!

My Super Sweet 2 Birthday!

Abbey did the most amazing job planning Reed's birthday party. It was a blast!



She made a "hot air balloon" cake for him. It was really cute.



Reed was super excited when he arrived at the clubhouse for his birthday party. He was mesmerized by the balloons and bubbles everywhere!



It was very exciting to him.



His friend Karsten came from his school.



Of course, his very best friend Britton was there too.



Miss Betty, his Sunday School teacher, Raleigh, Miss Jennifer, Miss Holly, Nana Sprinkles, my goodness, there were so many people there to help Reed celebrate.



Even Kay Kay came!



Pop was excited to see Reed.



Aunt Ava personalized Reed's shirt.



Reed's friend Haden from school came to the party and helped Reed open his presents since he wasn't really into opening them.



Reed and Britton were interested in some of his presents.



Britton and his Auntie Meghan gave Reed this cute red car. Reed loves his new car.



Aunt Ava and Lola helped Reed put together a puzzle.



Poppy and Reed were silly!



Enna and Reed admired his MANY (seriously) balloons!

Reed's birthday was a great success! I think everyone involved had a great time!

Date Night Update

Monya came over to keep Reed so Abbey and I could go on our Valentine's Date.



My team at work gave me a Cheesecake Factory giftcard for Christmas, so we happily headed there for our dinner date.



CF has a new "small plate" menu and a bar menu from 4:00-6:00 that has smaller selections of many of their menu items.



We had Mexican Tortilla Soup, Sliders, Fried Cheese, Fried Zucchini, Sweet Corn Fritters, and Calamari. We got a really nice selection of food for a really nice price.



For dessert Abbey had apple struesel cheesecake and I had tiramisu. It was delicious.



Reed and Monya apparently had a great time playing.



Tomorrow, Reed is going to be in hog heaven for the weekend because Uncle Bill is coming to help us get ready for the birthday party on Saturday.



Then, Enna and Poppy are coming in tomorrow evening. Uncle Trae might be coming in.

On Saturday, Lola, Pop, Aunt Aba, and Uncle Bookah are coming.



Lots of other people are coming for the "birday party". Reed is going to be even more spoiled after the weekend I think!

Thanksgiving 2008

Reed was excited to get to see the "dawgcks" this morning.



After a delicious Thanksgiving spread, we took a little time for some family pics before nap time.



Reed has been full of smiles since we arrived at Pop and Lola's. We hope that it will carry on after we go home. It's great to have our sweet little guy back.



Of course, there have been a a few moments where Reed has had to turn on his charm.



Aunt Ava and Uncle Brookie had to get back to Jackson for UB to go to work tomorrow.



But, we took a few pics of them before they left.



I went to CVS early this morning.

EVERYTHING THAT YOU SEE WAS FREE or MORE THAN FREE!!!!

Technically, the griddle was not completely free, but I paid for it with ECBs and a giftcard that I got for having a Rx filled, so it was free, that makes everything FREE!!!!!

We arrived at Pop and Lola's late this afternoon and soon after, Uncle Brookie and Aunt Ava arrived.



Reed was excited to see Aunt Ava.



Aunt Ava was excited to see Reed.



They played alot.



Reed laughed alot!

Howdy Partner!

Tonight was the Harvest Festival at our church. Reed was a cowboy!



He practiced all throughout the day wearing his horse. It was too cute.



Isn't this the cutest cowboy ever!

Giddy-up!



Reed was completely overwhelmed by so many people!



Reed had his Sheriff's badge from Aunt Ava on his hat!



There was no misbehavior while Sheriff Reed was in town.





Even Mama came to the Harvest Festival from her conference.

Unfortunately, this was the only shot that we got with Reed's favorite Indian, Britty!





Miss Candace and Mrs. Tamara liked holding our favorite cowboy.



"Miss Tamara, we need to round up these kiddos and get them into their places."





I couldn't figure out why Reed was so wired when I was trying to get him to go to sleep. It seems that no one mentioned he had an ENTIRE tootsie pop!
